What is ATmosphereConf?
ATmosphereConf is a community organized global conference for and by the ATProto community, the open social protocol that powers Bluesky and many other apps.
We have many people already volunteering their time as organizers, speakers & discussion leads, and local activity leads, plus a small crew of paid conference producers.
For the on-site workshops and main conference days, we need additional people to volunteer for a shift or two.
Who can Volunteer?
Anyone who is locally available in Vancouver during the conference timeframe, Wednesday, March 26th through Sunday, March 29th.
We're especially eager to invite students from local Vancouver educational institutions. Spend some time volunteering and get a no charge ticket to attend the whole conference. This conference will be a fantastic place to network with builders, creators, academics, and more, all working in the distributed open web scene.
What does Volunteering look like?
Volunteers will be asked to sign up for a few shifts, and in return receive a no-charge ticket to the full conference.
You'll also get an ATmosphereConf "Volunteer" exclusive T-Shirt to wear while on duty and to keep as a souvenir. While you're not on shift, you will have time to attend workshops, talks, and other activities.
Right now, we are planning 4 hour shifts for tasks like registration desk, info booth, room monitor, etc.
